Homes in Colombia under $100K

Under $100,000 in Colombia is plentiful. Two-bed apartments in Medellín's middle-class neighborhoods (Laureles outer edges, Belén, Envigado fringes), Bogotá's Chapinero and Teusaquillo, Cali's Granada and Ciudad Jardín, and historic homes in Cartagena's outer barrios. Expect Colombian middle-class finishes: tile floors, small kitchens, protected neighborhoods with porterías (24-hour doormen on most apartment buildings). Medellín's eternal spring climate (65-80°F year-round, no AC needed) makes it the most popular American destination. The peso has been historically weak against the dollar, giving US buyers strong purchasing power.
