Homes in Italy under $300K
$300,000 in Italy starts to reach real cities. Bologna's outer ring, Turin's Crocetta or San Salvario, Genoa's seaside neighborhoods, Naples proper, and Palermo's historic center. Florence and Rome offer small one-beds in outer areas. Lake Como and Lake Garda offer modest apartments in villages away from the prime lakefront. Venice's mainland Mestre works at this price but Venice island does not. Expect Italian middle-class urban finishes: compact kitchens, tile throughout, small bathrooms. Digital nomad visa plus property ownership is a reasonable combination though the visa itself has rigid requirements ($28K+ yearly income).
